If you are interested in central government's use of Geographic Information, then welcome to the Intra-governmental Group on Geographic Information (IGGI) website.
As well as promoting best practice in the use of Geographic Information (GI) within central government, IGGI has created the Pan-Government Agreement (PGA), which provides access to core GI data.
As a member of the public, this website provides you with an overview of; IGGI and the PGA, cases studies of how data is being used in government and other general news.
If you work for a central government body, we'd like you to sign up for the member's area (myIGGI), which provides a wealth of information including the PGA, its members and their contact details.
It aims to help central government users get the most out of Geographic Information by
- publicising GI news;
- developing a portfolio of support materials;
- providing information on the Pan-Government Agreement; and
- encouraging networking with GI colleagues in central government.
