What's MyIGGI?

The IGGI website works on two levels both a public and members area aka MyIGGI

Visitors to the website can access information about the use of geographic information within central government and are given an opportunity to sign-up to IGGI and the PGA.

All IGGI members are able to access the MyIGGI website by logging in with a personal username and password. The MyIGGI website enables you to customise your IGGI membership to make it work for you.

MyIGGI allows common members additional functionality for Working Groups, Events and Initiatives as well as providing access to contact details for other IGGI members and PGA signatories.

Other MyIGGI features include:

  • A personalised overview of key information
  • Easy contact with people in a similar job (search by job title, organisation)
  • Group regular contacts through 'MyContacts'
  • Store 'Key contacts' within the IGGI community
  • Online sign up to Working Group and Events

Access and management of MyIGGI information is managed according to your user type. The site is secure and designed for use by different types of GI user, each offering some common and some specialist features.

Technically speaking

The MyIGGI site is driven by php and MySql, two of the most widely used open source website building technologies. The icons were designed by Mark James.
