PGA2 Procurement
Communities and Local Government manages the Pan-Government Agreement (PGA) on behalf of all PGA members. An update on PGA procurement issues is provided below.

PGA2 Procurement update (last updated March 2008)
Communities and Local Government is running a procurement exercise to replace the current PGA. Bidders have now been provided with more information on PGA members' requirements and have been invited to provide detailed proposals.

- A market sounding was run during February 2007. Submissions were received from a number of interested parties, and a joint response has been provided by the PGA Steering Group and Communities and Local Government

Height and aerial photography available in the PGA from April 2008 (last updated March 2008)
Next Perspectives will supply height and aerial photography data to PGA members from April 2008. The contract award notice was formally published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 25 January 2007.
Current PGA with Ordnance Survey(last updated April 2008)
The current PGA has been extended until 31 March 2009 to allow the procurement process to complete.
Background information
Communities and Local Government acknowledges that there is a perception of a conflict of interest between the department acting as both customer and custodian to Ordnance Survey. In response, it has published a document setting out how its guidelines for working with Ordnance Survey to ensure these functions are separated appropriately.
